Solar- and electric-assisted pedal catamaran with a cabin for two: silent, emission-free, multi-day off-grid capable. Concept stage; the tri-hybrid principle is field-proven via Solar-Paddle.

ABOUT

Workshop, studio, codebase.

Christian Sturm. Grew up on the coast, has lived in Potsdam for many years. Interdisciplinary developer across design, media, software, electronics and mechanics. Has lived and worked completely off-grid, year-round, since 2023, with genuine solar and off-grid expertise.

Bachelor's in product design with a mobility focus, ten years of C#/.NET software development in healthcare, alongside e-bike mechanics, boatbuilding practice and own workshop projects.

Went independent in May 2026 to distill the dual role of engineer and visualizer into a service of his own and, in parallel, to free up resources for developing electric- and solar-assisted pedal and paddle boats.

FAQ

What you'll want to know first.

F.01 How long does a typical imagery production take?

One to eight weeks depending on scope. Small packages in one to two, campaigns with variant families up to eight.

F.02 Do you need finished CAD data or are sketches enough?

Either works. CAD data is the fastest route; from sketches or documents I model first. Effort and price depend on the source material.

F.03 Do you work internationally or only in Germany?

Both. Remote collaboration is well established, on-site appointments within the DACH region are easy to arrange.

F.04 How quickly can you start?

Current availability on request. Small projects can usually be scheduled within one to two weeks.

F.05 Who keeps the rights to the visualizations?

Standard: the client receives comprehensive usage rights for their own marketing. A portfolio clause for my own showcase use is included in the contract.
